Deliveries start earlier than announced.
VW India launched the refreshed Polo with the new diesel engine on July 15. The company stated at the time of launch that the refreshed Cross Polo, GT TSI and GT TDI variants would be available only post September.
However, it seems the German car maker has already started deliveries of the refreshed Cross Polo. Seen here are images of the 2014 Cross Polo, sent to us by Mr. Praveen Francis, its owner and an Indian Autos Blog reader.
Changes on the outside come in the form of new headlights with cornering lights and mildly tweaked taillights. The 2014 Cross Polo continues with the pre-facelift model's bumpers, skid guards, grille and alloy wheels.
Inside, the Cross Polo gets the new 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, the new instrument cluster, silver inserts for the center console, an all-black dashboard (the regular Polo gets a dual-tone black-and-beige) and black seats with white stitching.
Powering the Cross Polo is the new 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI engine capable of producing 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 230 Nm of torque, matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI rated efficiency for the car stands at 20.14 km/l.
