The Vespa Esclusivo limited edition scooter has been launched silently at INR 81,100 (on-road Pune), commanding a premium of INR 3,200 over the Vespa VX 125 on which it is based.
The Esclusivo, which adds a few visual enhancements to the VX 125, will have a limited production run of 1,000 units. For starters, the limited edition scooter gets checkered decals on the front apron and the engine cowl, contrast seat border, a numbered Esclusivo badge on the front apron's storage compartment lid and dual tone powder coated alloy wheels with black spokes and silver rim. According to one dealer, the Esclusivo decals are imported from Italy!
The Esclusivo is available in three color options - Monte Bianco (white), Rosso Dragon (Red) and Nero Matt (Black).
The cosmetic add-ons aside, the Vespa Esclusivo is exactly same as the VX 125. The 125 cc 3-valve four-stroke engine is capable of 10 PS and 10.06 Nm of torque, and comes mated to a CVT. The unisex lifestyle scooter is equipped with front disc brake and a 8-litre fuel tank that offers a claimed range of 400 km.
In a nutshell, the Vespa Esclusivo adds an extra ounce of exclusivity to the VX, but at a cost.
