Force Motors showcased its updated range of the Force One SUV back in July last year. However, sales of the top-end 4x4 variant of the One, called the Force One LX, were not open the entire of last year, and the first five months of this year. Now finally, Force says that bookings are open for the LX 4x4, and that sales will commence in the first week of June.
The website also lists the LX's price at INR 13.74 lakhs, ex-Showroom Navi Mumbai and INR 16.39 lakhs, on-road Navi Mumbai. Power for the One LX comes from the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine used by the SX variant. This engine is made by Force Motors under license from Daimler.
The engine is capable of producing 141 PS at 3,800 rpm and 321 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,400 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox and an electronic shift-on-the-fly 4WD system are used on the LX. In terms of safety, the One gets ABS and EBD, but no airbag.
Features come in the form of alloy wheels, projector headlights with daytime running lights, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, 2-DIN music system with steering mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking sensor, keyless entry and cruise control.
The One LX is the top-end variant of the One SUV positioned above the cut-price BS3 EX, and the mid-level BS4 SX.
