The Nissan Terrano has been officially unveiled in Russia. Prices for the SUV start at 677,000 Roubles (Rs 11.58 lakh). The starting price for the base Terrano is around 90,000 Roubles (Rs 1.54 lakh) cheaper than the Renault Duster sold in Russia.
The Terrano in Russian spec comes in 10 variants. While 6 of them get a 2.0-liter petrol engine that makes 135 hp and produces peak torque of 191 Nm, the other 4 variants get the standard 1.6-liter petrol engine that makes 102 hp and produces peak torque of 145 Nm. The Terrano is available in both 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive options in both engine trims.
There are three sets of gearboxes for the Terrano in Russia. A 5-speed manual is offered only in the base trim that costs 677,000 Roubles, paired to the 1.6-liter engine in two-wheel-drive configuration. A 6-speed manual is offered for both engines, but only in the four-wheel-drive mode. Finally, a four-speed automatic is offered along with the 2.0-liter engine in two-wheel-drive configuration in three trims and not for the 4WD version.
In terms of changes compared to the Indian-spec Terrano, very few exist. While the Indian Terrano gets a two-tone beige and black dashboard ensemble, the Russian-spec gets a fully black cockpit. The audio system is also different, as the Russian-spec gets a bigger digital display in the same compartment.
