Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new V-Class MPV at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle would be launched in May 2014, while bookings open on March 6th (today).
The new V-Class gets the 2.1-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with two-stage turbocharging that delivers three different power figures. For the base V200, it develops 136 hp and peak torque of 330 Nm. For the mid-level V 220, it makes 163 hp and 380 Nm of maximum torque and for the range-topping V 250, it produces 190 hp and 440 Nm of torque.
While the V 250 comes with 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission with both a gearshift lever and paddle shifters, the same A/T gearbox is available as an option for V 200 and V 220, which come standard with a manual gearbox.
A special V-Class Edition 1 will receive the same engine with a power output of 190 hp, mated to the same A/T gearbox with sports suspension or the optional AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damper control, 19-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, tinted glass in the rear compartment, nappa leather seats, leather-look dashboard with contrasting top-stitching and dark anthracite ebony wood-look trim.
It would also receive active seat ventilation for the driver and the passenger, along with automatic climate control at the front and semi-automatic climate control at the rear apart from other spoils.
