The 2014 Kia Sportage facelift has just been revealed. While it may not seem like a facelift (especially when you compare the images with the pre-facelift model), Kia has made minor changes to the exteriors and interiors. The most important change on this 2014 MY though is the addition of a new engine.
The new engine in question is the 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder unit, which we see on the Hyundai Sonata in India. On the Sportage, it outputs 182bhp and 239Nm of torque, while on the Sonata it generates 198bhp and 255Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is the only gearbox option on the Sportage, while the Sonata can also be had with a 6-speed manual.
On the outside, the 2014 Sportage gets very minor design changes for its foglights and grille. Customers can optionally spec HID headlights and LED taillights if they wish to.
Interior revisions and feature additions include a tilt/telescopic steering, high performance dampers across all variants, reclining and ventilated seats, heated front seats, rear view camera and automatic headlights.
Kia has not revealed details such as the pricing and estimated delivery commencement for the 2014 Sportage though.
