Dodge displayed the Mopar-modified version of the 2014 Challenger at the ongoing NAIAS 2014. The 2014 Challenger Mopar, shown first at SEMA 2013, gets a Shaker cold-air grabbing centre-mounted hood scoop to direct cool air over the HEMI V8 engine.
Apart from the functional Shaker hood, the new 2014 model also gets a conical air filter and an optimised air box for improved air flow into the engine.
In addition to the driver-selectable sport-mode calibration, performance-tuned suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and steering calibration, the Dodge Challenger Mopar can be fitted with all-season performance tires for no extra cost.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger Mopar retains the same HEMI 5.7-liter V8 that does duty on the regular Challenger model.
The cockpit gets a unique three-spoke flat bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel and a unique 'K-Black' painted instrument panel and centre console bezel for a discrete look.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger Mopar will arrive in showrooms in the first quarter of this year and is priced at $36,995 and $500 extra for hood-to-tail stripes. Only 100 vehicles will be produced.
