Check out our coverage and review of the new Octavia

As is the case with any new product, initial sales and interest levels are bound to be high. We would definitely like to see how the Octavia performs in the months to come, given that its segment has been shrinking over time with certain manufacturers even terming it "non-existent".
Mr. Sudhir Rao, Managing Director, Skoda Auto India said -
The Octavia is the heart of our brand and is our attempt to give customers one of the best offerings in the country. The Octavia will set new benchmarks in space, ride quality and ownership experience. With the new design language the Octavia is a head turner and is a great value proposition for the Indian consumer. We will continue to bring products that redefine segments and ownership experience.
