The Dacia Duster Black Edition (Renault Duster) has just been launched in the UK. Here are the headlines.
The Duster Black Edition was made to celebrate this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is based on the Ambiance (middle model) dCi 110bhp model and is available only as a 4x2.
The Black Edition gets a black vinyl body wrap and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also seems to get an additional set of lights on the roof.
Inside, the seats get a grained leather upholstery. A new Kenwood media system with a 6-inch high resolution display has also been added. The system supports Bluetooth, DAB radio, USB, iPod, DVD and a GPS navigation system.
The Duster has entered its mid life period and a facelift is being planned. There are many prototypes of the Duster facelift being tested across Europe and the bulk of the changes seems to be concentrated at the rear. We are expecting Dacia (Renault) to show us the Duster facelift at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled for in September.
The Duster Black Edition has an on road price of 17,575 pounds (INR 15.91 lakhs). Given that the Duster in India is going to celebrate its first anniversary (and stiff competition from the Ford EcoSport), shouldn't Renault India introduce a special edition such as this?
