Tata Nano Launch Update #2

Dave

Dave,

Castrol will provide Tata Nano its engine oil. After two years of intense Research and Development, Tata Motors and Castrol have jointly developed a specialised low cost, fuel efficient lubricant exclusively for the Tata Nano. This lubricant is expected to reduce emissions, improve mileage and ensure higher engine longevity of the world's cheapest car.

Tata Motors and Castrol have already established an exclusive tie-up for its passenger and commercial vehicles, and will now be the original equipment (OE) supplier and after-sales services provider to the Nano. Castrol predicts that the cost savings could be as high as 5% and a mileage of 20kmpl would be easy to achieve.
