While General Motors may be busy in the run up to the launch of the next generation Chevrolet Cruze in China, on the other side of the world the current model gets a makeover to prolong its stay in the marketplace.
Chevrolet USA have revealed the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze ahead of its New York Auto Show debut this week. The facelift follows the footsteps of its older sibling Malibu featuring a dual port grille, new bumper with chrome inlays, LED daytime lights, revised taillamps and a new color palette.
Changes to the cabin include revised switch gear and improved cupholders, Siri Eyes Free technology and a Text Message Alert system that reads out messages, seven-inch color touchscreen display, OnStar 4G LTE connectivity and a GPS navigation system that is an optional extra.
Chevrolet haven't outlined the powertrain specifications, but the four-cylinder lineup is likely to continue unchanged -
- 1.8L engine with 138 bhp and 169 Nm of torque
- 1.4L turbo engine with 138 bhp and 200 Nm of torque
- 2.0L turbo diesel with 151 bhp and 357 Nm of torque
The new Cruze will go on sale around September and prices will be announced close to the launch.
