UM has slashed the price of the UM Renegade Sports S by INR 12,654 as a part of its promotional offer.
As per Delhi dealers, the offer is valid till November 5. However, Pune dealers say that the offer is valid till the end of this month. It is advisable to visit your nearest dealer for more accurate details. The bike now costs INR 1.59 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. UM had hiked the prices of its bikes marginally in August, and the Sports S was priced at INR 1,71,654, ex-Delhi. Currently, the promotional offer applies only to the entry-level model, the Renegade Sports S. Prices of the other models remain unchanged. In September, UM launched the Commando Classic and the Commando Mojave edition; and the delivery of the motorcycles began in October.

The UM Renegade Sports S employs a 279.5cc single cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The mill makes 25.15 PS of power at 8,500 rpm, and 23 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine mates with a 6-speed transmission. Unique features include LED lights on the sides of the fuel tank, and a USB port in the instrument cluster.
Suspension bits include 41 mm telescopic front fork, and twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The 17-inch front and the 16-inch rear alloys are shod with 110-section and 140-section tyres respectively. A 280 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum handle the braking duty. To further expand its business, UM also plans to develop and manufacture motorcycles between 300-700cc in the country.
