UM Motorcycles becomes the latest manufacturer to raise prices due to higher input costs.
UM Motorcycles has announced a price hike of up to 5.36 percent on the UM Renegade Commando and UM Renegade Sport S.
Both the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S are powered by a 280 cc single cylinder mill which is capable of producing 25 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 6 speed gearbox. Features include a front disc brake (rear gets a drum), wide handlebars and a service reminder as standard.
The price rise is being attributed to higher input costs. Mr Rajeev Mishra, Director UM Motorcycles said -
This price revision is on account of increase in the cost of raw material and other cost of operations. We have rationalized the costs, but taken care that impact is minimal. We also continue to offer finance at attractive interest rates for customers to enter the brand.
The UM Renegade Commando additionally gets an inbuilt USB charging point while the UM Renegade Sport S gets LED lights. The bikes have a kerb weight of 172 kg and can store 18 litre of petrol. Assembled in Lohia Autos Uttarakhand facility, the bikes were launched at the 2016 Auto Expo.
