Days after we broke news about the special edition UM Renegade Commando Mojave, images of the bike have come up on Thrustzone from possibly a dealer presentation.
The UM Renegade Commando Mojave gets a new paint scheme which pays tribute to the Mojave desert in the United States. It bears new saddle bag which follows the light brown paint scheme of the bike.
Powering the bike is a 279 cc water cooled single cylinder mill which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The carburetted powertrain is capable of producing 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The UM Renegade Commando Mojave will be suspended over the same 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
The bike has a fuel tank of 18-litre and has a kerb weight of 172 kg. The engine is expected to be BSIV compliant.
The UM Renegade Commando Mojave will be launched in October-November 2017 with a small hike over the standard variant.
