The TRD variant has underbody spoilers with red accents at the front and rear, thicker fog lamp surrounds at the front, side skirts, black bumper valance at the rear and black trunk lid spoiler. Strangely, the alloy wheels are the same as that of the regular Toyota Yaris Ativ.

The Toyota Yaris Ativ TRD is based on the Toyota Yaris Ativ S. It runs the 3NR-FE 1.2-litre Dual VVT-i engine coupled to a continuously variable transmission. The four-cylinder petrol engine produces 86 PS at 6,000 rpm and 108 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
