The Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor's new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system has so far remained exclusive to their range-topping XZ+ grade. Soon, the company will introduce this system in the performance-oriented JTP variant of these models.
First introduced in the new Tata Tigor last year, the new 7.0 touchscreen infotainment system is sourced from Harman. Initially, it offered only Android Auto support, but as of earlier this month, it supports Apple CarPlay too. It offers voice command recognition through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as image and video playback as well. It has a capacitive display and is equipped with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. Currently, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP feature a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Mechanically, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP will remain as is. The first-ever performance cars from the homegrown automaker sport a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 113.5 PS of maximum power at 5,000 rpm and 150 Nm of peak torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm. This engine is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
