Tata Motors has announced that the Tata Nexon production crossed the 25,000 mark today. The company manufactures the new small SUV at the Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra.
The Tata Nexon went on sale in India in September last year, and since last week is available in Nepal as well. The B-SUV had a waiting period of up to two months late last year. This month, Tata Motors introduced Aero accessory packages for the sub-4 metre SUV to boost its sales by offering a wider variety of styling.
The Tata Nexon is available with two engine options: 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel. The petrol engine is a turbocharged three-cylinder unit that produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder unit good for 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines are coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. Soon, the company will start offering a 6-speed automated manual transmission option. Dealerships have already started accepting pre-orders for the Tata Nexon AMT.
Projector headlamps with Feline-Eye shaped DRLs, dual-tone colour scheme, 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, Shark-fin antenna and roof rails are some of the main exterior features of the Tata Nexon.
Inside, the Ford EcoSport rival is has a three-tone colour scheme and is equipped with features like engine push-button start, front armrest, rear armrest with 2 cupholders, fast USB charger, automatic climate control system, 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation and 8-speaker sound system. On the safety front, Tata Motors offers ABS with EBD, dual-front airbags, reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera.

The Tata Nexon’s prices in India start at INR 5.99 lakh* and go up to INR 9.62 lakh*.
