Tata Motors and its local distributor Sipradi Trading launched the Tata Nexon in Nepal yesterday. Prices of Tata Motors' first small SUV start at NPR 32.75 lakh (INR 20,47,113.94).
The Tata Nexon is available in Nepal in both petrol and diesel. The petrol model is powered by the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces 110 PS at 5,000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 1,750-4,000 rpm. The diesel model employs the 1.5-litre Revotorq turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 110 PS at 3,750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque at 1,500-2,750 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard.
There are four grades to choose from: XE, XM, XT and XZ+. The XE and XM grades are available only in petrol, the XT grade is available only in diesel and the XZ+ grade is available in both petrol and diesel. Dual-tone colour scheme, projector headlamps with Feline-Eye shaped DRLs, 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, roof rails Shark-fin antenna and LED tail lamps are some of the sub-compact SUV’s main exterior features.

Interior highlights of the Tata Nexon include three-tone colour scheme, 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, rear air vents, push-button start, 8-speaker sound system, USB charger and rear 12V power outlet. Dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD are standard, while parking sensors and parking camera are available in select grade(s).
