Brings in over two decades of experience from Maruti.
In what is a significant talent acquisition, Tata Motors has appointed Mr. Mayank Pareek as its new head of Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), effective from October 1.
In his previous assignment, Mr. Pareek was the Chief Operating Officer at Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) and is a veteran of the Indian auto industry with an experience of over two decades. He was also a member of MSIL's management committee and a permanent invitee to the MSIL board.
During his tenure at Maruti since 1991, Mr. Pareek, an engineering and MBA graduate, had managed operations of wide and varied domains like marketing & sales, dealer development, after market services, product development, spare parts and accessories, used car business, outbound logistics and international marketing & sales.
Mr. Ranjit Yadav, the current head of Tata's PVBU will now assume a new role as the head of International Business for Passenger and Commercial Vehicles.

The appointment of a highly experienced leader is expected to provide Tata's passenger vehicles division a much needed shot in the arm. The immediate task for new head would be to execute a successful market introduction of the Bolt.
