Tata Motors has revealed that the hatchback that has long been referred to as the 'Tata Kite' (codename) will be named 'Tata Zica'. The announcement was made by releasing a teaser video for the small car featuring the football star and brand ambassador, Lionel Messi. Reports had mentioned that the Kite hatchback and the Kite compact sedan are codenamed ‘Kite 4’ and ‘Kite 5’ respectively.
The Tata Zica will be unveiled next month and is reported to launch in the first week of January. Replacing the Tata Indica in the passenger car market, the Zica is expected to be priced from INR 3.6 lakhs.
