According to CarDekho, the Tata Hexa will launch on January 16, although Tata Motors is yet to confirm a launch date. So far, the Indian manufacturer has only divulged that the Hexa will launch in January 2017.
At launch, the Hexa will be available in seven variants: XE 7-seater, XM 7-seater, XT 6-seater, XT 7-seater, XMA 7-seater. XTA 6-seater and XT 4x4 6-seater. Prices are expected to range between INR 12 Lakhs - INR 16 Lakhs (ex-showroom), which would undercut its key rivals - the Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta. Tata dealerships across India have begun accepting bookings for the Hexa since yesterday.
Under the hood is a 2.2L four-cylinder VariCOR diesel with 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,700-2,700 rpm. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual (XE only), 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The top-end XT with 6-speed manual is only available with a 4WD system and Tata’s Super Drive modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.

Headline features in the Tata Hexa include 6 airbags, 10 speaker JBL sound system, mood lighting, support for mobile applications (Juke Car, Navimaps, Tata Smart Remote, Tata Smart Manual and Service Connect), 19-inch alloy rims, automatic climate control and faux leather upholstery.
