The Tata Harrier has been on sale since January this year and a few days ago its sales reached 10,000 units. Apparently, it has been quite a successful product in its segment. Now, it is about to get minor enhancements based on media and customer feedback.

Harrier Updates
Customers are likely getting these updates done for free during the service of the vehicle.

The new updates include NVH tuning for improved sound insulation, new R10.X Software update for seamless infotainment system experience, steering tuning for improved feedback, feel and responsiveness, and clutch adjustment for optimal response. A Team-BHP forum post suggest that customers are getting these updates done for free during the service of the vehicle.

The flagship Tata SUV is based on the Omega-Arc platform which is a modified version of the Jaguar Land Rover’s D8 platform. Though currently it is only a 5-seater SUV, 7-seater version of the same, called Tata Buzzard tentatively, is on the works. On the outside, the Tata Harrier comes with features like multi-tier front light setup comprising ultra-slim, dual-function LED DRLs, Xenon HID projector headlamps and fog lamps with cornering function, 17-inch alloy wheels and sleek wraparound tail lamps.

Tata Motors also gave the Harrier a software update a while ago, thanks to which its top-of-the-line, 8.8-inch Floating Island touchscreen infotainment system now comes with Apple CarPlay as well. It comes with safety features such as six airbags, ESP, reverse parking camera and Perimetric Alarm System to name a few. It employs a 2.0-litre diesel engine which delivers 140 PS of maximum power at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
