Previously, we saw a neatly restored Royal Enfield Mofa and Explorer from our reader R Deena Dayalan's garage. Then there were the four Yamaha RD350 motorcycles that were in near immaculate condition. Now, we have our hands on another motorcycle that was restored by this connoisseur, a Rajdoot GTS 175 also known as the Bobby.

Similar to rest of his garage, this Rajdoot GTS 175 looks impeccable condition. Speaking to IAB, R Deena said that the Bobby is hard to get and he got the one seen in the photographs from one of his Facebook friends. The pocket bike was in a bad shape when R Deena found it. He spent about INR 45,000 for the motorcycle and spent another INR 35,000 to restore it. Several parts of the Rajdoot GTS 175 were sourced from Delhi, and it took him a total of three months to repair and restore the motorcycle.
The restored GTS 175 retains the stock parts and the original styling. Chrome panels such as the front and rear fender, headlight mask, engine covers and sides of the fuel tank accompany the blue paint. The shock absorbers, too, get a chrome treatment. The exhaust pipe on the right-hand side of the GTS 175 gets body-coloured heat shield and is accompanied by a spare wheel.
The GTS 175 used the same 173cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, two-stroke engine that also propelled the full-size Rajdoot motorcycles, thus giving the bike a better high power-to-weight ratio. Similar to retro motorcycles, stopping power comes from drum brakes on both wheels. Suspension duties are performed by spring type, twin-sided units.
