It is no news that the Toyota Yaris has been a slow-selling car ever since it was introduced in India in 2018. Even after months of lucrative discounts and offers to push the sales figures, it has been losing the race against its segment rivals which deliver much higher sales figures. Now, to boost the sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is planning on launching a refreshed Yaris with exterior and interior changes soon.
The new Toyota Yaris will flaunt a dual tone roof top along with new diamond-cut alloy wheels. While on the inside, it will feature new leatherette seat upholstery, reworked bolstering in the second row. Moreover, as in the latest Brazilian-spec Toyota Yaris, and the infotainment system will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There will be no changes in terms of mechanicals, and the 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine which delivers a maximum power output of 109 PS and a peak torque of 140 Nm will continue. This engine can be had with a 6-speed MT or a CVT.
In terms of its safety package, the Toyota Yaris features 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, reverse camera, VSC, HAC, TPMS and disc brakes on all wheels.
