Will be offered with two engine choices.
Ford India will launch the all-new Ford Endeavour in Mumbai today, thus replacing the second generation model which was launched in the country back in September 2009.
The new Ford Endeavour will be available with two diesel engine options: a 2.2-liter four-cylinder unit and a 3.2-liter five-cylinder motor. The 2.2-liter TDCi engine is rated at 160 PS and 385 Nm of torque, and will be available in 4x2 and 4x4 variants. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on this engine, whereas a 6-speed AT will be optional on the 2.2 4x2 variant.
The 3.2-liter TDCi engine will develop 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque, and will be available exclusively with a 4x4 and 6-AT arrangement. The 3.2-liter Endeavour will be available in two trim lines - Trend and Titanium.
At the tape, the third generation Endeavour measures 4,892 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, 1,837 mm in height, 2,850 mm in wheelbase and 225 mm in ground clearance. All variants of the SUV will be shod with 265/60 R18 alloy wheels.
The new Ford Endeavour will rival other SUVs like the recently-launched Chevrolet Trailblazer, the Hyundai Santa Fe, the Ssangyong Rexton, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the segment leader, the Toyota Fortuner. Ford India will assemble the Endeavour from Thai-made CKD kits, at their Chennai facility.
