The new Ford EcoSport Signature and Ford EcoSport S have started reaching dealerships. Ford Ecosport owners in India Facebook group member Prince Verma has posted videos showing the new Ford EcoSport Signature's exterior and the Ford EcoSport S' 4.2-inch MID in action.
The new Ford EcoSport Signature is based on the Ford EcoSport Titanium. It has a sportier styling with features like black front grille bars, black front fog lamp bezel, 17-inch machined-face wheels in a unique design, black roof rails, a sportier rear spoiler in a configuration similar to that of the Ford EcoSport ST-Line, anodised blue interior trim and blue seat stitching.
To let more natural light enter the cabin, the new Ford EcoSport Signature features an electric sunroof. Its key safety features include ESC, TCS and HLA, all three of which are unavailable on the Ford EcoSport Titanium. Customers will choose from four exterior colours: Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Lightning Blue.
The Ford EcoSport S, with the ’S’ suffix in the name short for ‘Sports’, is based on the Ford EcoSport Titanium+. It features darkened, HID headlamps, black fog lamp bezel, 17-inch premium dark tarnish metallic wheels in a unique design and a black roof. Its interior highlights include an electric sunroof, 4.2-inch MID, orange interior trim and seat covers with orange stitching and orange stripes. A 4.2-inch MID is available in none of the Ford EcoSport configurations on sale in India currently.
The 1.5L TDCi diesel engine powers the new Ford EcoSport Signature and Ford EcoSport S seen here. Ford may offer the former with the 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol engine as well. The latter is said to bring the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine back to our market. An interior spy shot has suggested that the EcoBoost engine might come with a 6-speed manual transmission instead of a 5-speed manual transmission.
