Will go on sale in the U.S. market in early 2018.
Ford has taken the wraps off the new Ford EcoSport (facelift) in Los Angeles, marking the vehicle's official U.S. debut. The EcoSport gets a host of exterior and interior changes with the mid-cycle update, detailed further in the story.
The facelifted Ford EcoSport be launched as MY2018 in the U.S. market, but for India, it will likely be a 2017 model. On the front, there's faux skid plates, and new design headlamps, grille, fog lamps and bumper. The hood seems to have a subtle change with the creases. At the rear, the U.S.-spec version does not carry the spare wheel, and features a faux skid plate.
Inside, the 2017 Ford EcoSport gets big changes from the outgoing model. The instrument panel, steering wheel and centre console have been completely redesigned. New switchgear can also be seen in the images, and so can a grab rail on the dashboard with body colour accents which are present on the centre console and door panels.
The Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system takes up the centre with a high-resolution, 8-inch floating touch screen. It features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility. Lastly, there's a high-end 675-watt, 10-speaker sound system which includes B&O PLAY-branded tweeters and woofers in the front doors and a subwoofer in the back. There are two fast-charging USB ports on the centre console and a 12-volt power outlet in the front, an available 110-volt outlet positioned behind the centre console and another 12-volt outlet for the rear-seat passengers.
