Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the Yaris, their next launch for the Indian market, at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. A recent report revealed that the launch of the Toyota Yaris would take place on May 18. A Team-BHP user has shared more info on the sedan acquired from a dealer.
As per the info on the forum, V and VX grades have been confirmed. There might be an entry-level G grade as well to keep the starting price aggressive. Standard features will include push button start/stop, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear AC vents, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play & Android Auto, cooled glovebox, height adjustable driver's seat, reverse camera, front & rear parking sensors, 4.2" MID, and alloy wheels. Additionally, VX trim will add leather seats, DRLs, auto headlights, rain sensing wipers, and electrically adjustable driver's seat.
The source adds that there will be seven colour options on offer. Five of these will be Pearl White, Silver, Grey, Black, and Super White. The other two might be Blue (Dark or Light), Brown (Phantom Brown from the Fortuner's palette) or Purple/Maroon (Similar to Garnet Red offered on Innova).
Mass production of the Toyota Yaris is underway at the company's plant near Bengaluru. While Toyota is yet to commence bookings officially, dealerships are accepting pre-orders for an amount of INR 50,000 unofficially.
