After months of spyshots, we now finally have the first look at the Mazda Koeru Concept's production version; the Mazda CX-4 has been unveiled at 2016 Auto China (2016 Beijing Motor Show).
The CX-4 measures 4,633 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,530 mm/1,535 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The wheelbase is same as that of the Mazda CX-5. The ground clearance is measured at 196 mm. Inside, the CX-4 offers 400 litres of luggage space with the rear seats up and 1,228 litres of total luggage space with the rear seats folded down.
On the outside, the Mazda CX-4 features LED headlights, roof bars, blacked-out A-, B- and C-pillars, 17- or 19-inch aluminium wheels, LED taillights and twin exhaust tail pipes. Stepping inside, there's the familiar cabin design from other latest Mazda models with the cockpit featuring the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
Highlights include Deep Red finish for the upper section of the instrument panel, Electrical Parking Brake (EPB), leather seats, Active Driving Display head-up display and MZD Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch independent display mounted on the top of the dashboard.
The Mazda CX-4 will go on sale in Summer 2016 (June-August 2016) and be available with two engine options in China: 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol and 2.5-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol. i-stop idling engine stop-start system is standard. The 2.0 SKYACTIV-G model has front-wheel drive drivetrain configuration while the 2.5 SKYACTIV-G model has all-wheel drive drivetrain configuration. The latter, equipped with i-ACTIV AWD all-wheel drive system, also features i-ELOOP brake energy regeneration system.
