Lada will launch the Granta Liftback in June this year and has announced a starting price of 314,000 Roubles (Rs 5.37 lakh).
The base version will get a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 87 hp, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car also gets driver airbag, daytime running lights, original seats with Isofix child seat, height-adjustable steering, central locking and 14-inch alloy wheels.
The liftback version's boot is bigger by 80 liters in comparison to the Granta sedan, taking its luggage space up to 440 litres.
The mid-level variant gets, in addition to the list mentioned above, power steering, ABS with brake assist system, rear headrests, door mouldings in body colour and an audio system. This version starts at 346,100 Roubles (Rs 5.9 lakh).
The Liftback in its higher variant also gets a more powerful version of the same 1.6-liter petrol engine now making 106 hp. Priced at 419,500 Roubles (Rs 7.16 lakh), this version gets in addition to the medium trim, climate control, front passenger airbag, body-coloured door handles and rear view mirrors, 15-inch alloy wheels and indicator-mounted ORVMs.
This top-end also has an option of an automatic transmission box along with a 1.6-liter petrol engine that makes 98 hp. Equipped with ESC, parking sensors and rain sensing headlamps, this version is priced at 477,500 Roubles (Rs 8.15 lakh).
