Koenigsegg comes to India in February

If you think that the Veyron at Rs 16 CR is stretching your budget a bit too much and you only want to spend 10 CR on your next Supercar. Well, worry no more because the Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has just the right thing for you.

Yes, you heard it right. Koenigsegg is also following Bugatti’s footstep and coming to the magical land of India. They have partnered with InterGlobe Enterprises which is in turn owned by Rahul Bhatia (the same man behind Indigo Airlines) and the formal launch is expected to happen sometime in the coming month in Hyderabad.

Koenigsegg will join the long line up of exotic manufacturers like Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls Royce who have already opened shops in India.

What are they getting to India you ask? Well it’s the all new Agera!

Powered by a 4.7-litre V8 engine, the Agera is one of the fastest production cars in the world. The Koenigsegg Agera features the latest in braking technology, incorporating an adjustable ABS system, 392x36 and 380x34 ventilated and drilled ceramic discs. The Twin Turbo boosts power to 910 hp, when the engine is run on regular petrol. Torque is maximum 1100 Nm and is reached at 5100 rpm. There is over 1000 nm of torque available from 2680 to 6100 rpm.

What does this mean for you? Imagine, someday one when you are just having a stroll you may be able to see a Veyron and an Agera at the red lights revving hard. It’s a possibility, a one in a million possibility but a possibility nonetheless
