Last month, Isuzu launched the MU-X The Onyx in Thailand. Now, the company is displaying it at the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show.
The Isuzu MU-X The Onyx is the replacement for the Isuzu MU-X The Iconic that was launched exactly a year ago. Unlike the standard model, it features gloss black front fog lamp and lower grille surround, front under spoiler, black fender flares and rear under spoiler. Also unique to The Onyx model is the newly introduced Etna Red body paint option. The launch of The Onyx model coincided with the second minor change to the MU-X, with which Isuzu introduced 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels as well. The interior design is the same.
Bi-LED headlamps, LED tail lights, roof spoiler, LED ambient light, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation, Air Mirroring and TV Tuner, semi-leather upholstery, leather steering wheel and 8-speaker sound system are some of the equipment highlights of the Isuzu MU-X The Onyx.
Isuzu offers the MU-X The Onyx with the RZ4E-TC 1.9-litre diesel engine and the 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-litre diesel engine. The 1.9-litre engine produces 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque, while the 3.0-litre engine develops 177 PS and 380 Nm of torque. The 6-speed Rev Tronic automatic transmission is standard. A 4x4 system is not included in The Onyx model, not even as an option.
