Seen here are the first images of the India-spec Honda BR-V, ahead of its launch expected to take place next month. Honda Cars India has commenced the pre-launch marketing activities around the crossover, and plans on showcasing the vehicle in various cities prior to launch.
The BR-V in these images is the top-end 'VX' variant, and features the 'i-DTEC' badge on the bootlid, confirming Honda's 1.5-liter four-cylinder EarthDreams diesel engine for the crossover. This engine develops 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque, and will be paired to a manual gearbox.
The BR-V is also expected with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, capable of 118 PS and 145 Nm of torque. In its launch market in Indonesia, the BR-V petrol is paired to a new 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Features seen on the India-spec BR-V include LED light guides, projector headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid guards, roof rails, a rear spoiler and a rear wiper/washer.

The BR-V is based on the same platform as the Honda Brio series of cars. Similar to the 2016 Honda Amaze, the interior of the BR-V too will feature Honda's new layout with a 2-DIN entertainment system, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls and 60:40 split second row seats.
