Top-end model will get LED DRLs and LED taillamps.
MrCar.in has acquired spy shots of the Tata Nexon at night, revealing the headlight and taillamp illumination patterns. The model spotted seems to be the top-end grade, which will feature a chrome 'humanity line' on the upper grille with neatly integrated LED DRLs and projector headlight and V-shaped LED pilot lamps for the taillights as standard.
Like the Tiago and Tigor, the Nexon will have a white backlit instrument cluster with identical dials for the speedometer, tachometer, fuel level and engine water temperature, flanking a multi-info display. The top-end model also gets plenty of piano black, silver and chrome trim panels, automatic climate control, start/stop button, steering-mounted audio controls, a rear parking camera and an Harman-based floating touchscreen infotainment system with voice commands and a rear-view camera interface.
Other features confirmed by Tata Motors include 44-liter fuel tank, rear AC vents, dual airbags, advanced dual path suspension, 9th generation ABS with EBD with Corner Stability Control and ISOFIX.
The Nexon is Tata's first sub-4m SUV, measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. The diesel variant is confirmed to pack an all-new 1.5-litre Revotorq turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which is expected to average around 22 km/L fuel mileage. It will feature a drive mode selector with City, Eco and Sport modes, and a terrain management system.
Prices for the Nexon are expected to range between INR 7.10 Lakhs – INR 10.2 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It will rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and some variants of the Renault Duster when it comes out this festival season, nearly 18 months after its premiere in production form at the Auto Expo.
