Ford has showcased a Need For Speed inspired version of the Mustang at the ongoing LA auto show. Listed in the long roster of cars available in the title, the Mustang will also headline the EcoBoost 400 race as the pace car this weekend at the Homestead-Miami speedway.
Modifications that were done for the movie will be borrowed for this one-off machine. A widebody kit, upgraded aero, 22-inch alloys, low-profile mirrors, bigger intakes and a supercharged V8 complete the list. Actor Ramon Rodriguez, the one driving the car in the movie, will drive it at the race as well. The car has been added to the upcoming NFS Rivals game that will be launched later in November.
Continuing with the theme of satisfying fan boys of various franchisees, Ford has also displayed a modified version of the Transit Connect van at the show. The modifications are done to please the eye of any Hot Wheels fan. The Hot Wheels edition has a massive 55-inch TV occupying the van’s huge cargo area, along with a rack built to store Hot Wheels toys. Designers have also given the driver and his passenger Recaro seats and the dashboard gets a couple of 18-inch tablets for connectivity.
