Ford's engineers are busy testing the Ford Fiesta facelift in a variety of terrains and locations. Last month we brought you a speculative rendering (left) of the facelift with the EcoSport's gaping front grille. Now according to a report on CarScoop.Blogspot.com, the car could be revealed as early as 2012 Paris Motor Show, a two week long automotive show that begins on the 29th of September.
The Ford Fiesta facelift receives a re-sculptured bonnet, a newly designed front bumper with a modified grille and redesigned fog light enclosures. The headlights could be rearranged with the inclusion of LED clusters.
The rear bumper styling and new tail light graphics complete the changes to the car's body. The same cosmetic changes will be applied to the four-door model.
Ford's new three-cylinder 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine will be brought into the Fiesta facelift, which is available in two power levels - 100PS and 125PS with a peak torque of 170Nm or 200Nm. Due to the slow-selling nature of petrol variants, Ford India may ignore this engine for the Fiesta facelift and reserve it for the EcoSport.
Ford could introduce the 2013 Fiesta in a step-by-step manner starting this winter.
