Is a rugged iteration of the standard EcoSport.
Ford had showcased the Ford EcoSport custom at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo. The car is based on the 1.5 Ambiente MT variant and is the same vehicle that was displayed last year.
The exterior looks far more rugged than the standard model. The body is painted in a matte black color with the same finish also seen on the hexagonal grille. Several elements on the body contribute towards the off-road look, and one of these are the protective grills seen wrapping the headlights and fog lamps. Coming to the sides, the most apparent change is the high-profile Goodyear Wrangler tires that also give the vehicle a higher ground clearance.
A gloss-black tear vinyl is wrapped on the C-Pillar, and the car gets the spare wheel mounted on the tail gate that has an added shovel. A big carrier affixed on the roof holds another spare wheel and a jerry can, while the car is also equipped with twin driving lights for better visibility at night.
The interior is pretty basic featuring fabric seats and a simple three-spoke steering wheel. The interior has an all-black look that complements the exterior while the dashboard and AC vents have been given a silver finish to break the monotony.
No changes have taken place under the hood, and a 1.5-liter four cylinder gasoline engine making 110 hp and 142 Nm of torque drives the vehicle. Power is routed to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
