It seems that Force Motors is letting no stones unturned in the development of its new SUV. In order to make sure that there are no glitches in the product, the Pune based manufacturer has extended the testing period of the product and delayed the launch.
The launch, which was supposed to happen in the month of March, will be pushed forward to May. In the meantime, the company will continue testing the SUV as wants to leave no room for error with its premium SUV foray. The decision is welcomed by IAB because this SUV will have to go against big wigs like Tata Safari and Mahindra Scorpio. Also, the company’s 150 crore investment is at stake here.
The SUV will have brand new 2.2-litre engine which will be licensed from Daimler. Force Motors is apparently very happy with the power mill and the performance of its test mules.
The company has established a new vertical for R&D, manufacturing, marketing & sales of the new SUV and will be making drastic changes to its retail network for its new product.
