To be launched in the coming months.
Fiat India is promoting the Fiat Urban Cross that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 last week, on social media platforms.
Although it is based on the Avventura, the fact that the company has not mentioned the name on the communication, suggests that the model will be marketed as the Fiat Urban Cross with only a mild connection to the Avventura brand. The vehicle is planned to be launched sometime this year, reportedly in the third quarter.
However the post-launch strategy could be different as FCA India's CEO Kevin Flynn has told Motorbash that the Urban Cross would be a derivative of the Avventura brand. He added that the car would launch only as an Abarth variant.

The Urban Cross measures 4,000 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height. It is powered by the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine that produces 140 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 210 Nm of peak torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm.
The model is characterised by a spruced up front fascia compared to the Punto Evo and the Avventura, with new grille-mesh design, turn indicators on ORVMs, LED optical guide taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and silver roof rails.
