Offered only on the entry-level diesel version.
The Fiat Punto Sportivo is being showcased at the 2015 Autocar Performance Show. It was launched yesterday at INR 7.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The festive season special edition features cosmetic enhancements like a sporty body kit, racy body graphics that includes a checkered sticker on the hood, a contrast white roof, side body decals; black ORVM caps with chrome appliques, alloy wheels, new carpets for the cabin, special seat covers, and chrome door sills.
The equipment upgrades on the Punto Sportivo include a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with features such as GPS, 3D navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and reverse parking display.
While there is no change in the powertrain, the Punto Sportivo edition is offered only on the low-spec diesel version. The engine is the 1.3-litre four-cylinder MultiJet unit which produces 76 PS and 197 Nm, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The company recently launched the high performance versions of the Punto and the Avventura that come under the Abarth branding, featuring the 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo petrol engine.
