Joining the Fiat Abarth Punto is the Fiat Avventura Powered by Abarth, which is priced at INR 9.95 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
On the outside, FCA India has played it simple with the Avventura Powered by Abarth. The only exterior differences are the 16-inch 'Scorpion' alloy wheels, and the 'Powered by Abarth' branding on the rear doors. The Avventura Powered by Abarth tries the 'Wolf in a sheep's clothing' so much that even the 'Fiat' badges continue to be seen, where the Abarth Punto gets the 'Scorpion' logo.
Under the hood though, the Avventura Powered by Abarth is powered by the same 1.4-liter T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine with DOHC and 16 valves. However, it makes a shade less power and torque in comparison to the Abarth Punto: The Avventura Powered by Abarth develops 140 hp and 210 Nm of torque, whereas the hot-hatch has numbers of 145 hp and 212 Nm.
Where the numbers truly matter, the Avventura Powered by Abarth does 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, and 0-1000 meters in 31.8 seconds. These numbers are 1.1 seconds and 1.4 seconds slower than the Abarth Punto respectively, but the Avventura Powered by Abarth delivers a higher 17.1 km/l as against the latter's 16.3 km/l.
On the safety front, the Avventura Powered by Abarth comes with disc brakes all around, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD.
