Indiscriminate use of emails inside the offices of Ferrari has worried the Italian auto maker so much that it has decided to recode its servers leaving an employee with the ability to send an official email to just three recipients at once.
A statement issued on this matter read: "The injudicious sending of emails with dozens of recipients often on subjects with no relevance to most of the latter is one of the main causes of time wastage and inefficiency in the average working day in business. Ferrari has therefore decided to nip the problem in the bud by issuing a very clear and simple instruction to its employees: talk to each other more and write less."
The change in workplace netiquette is believed to have come straight from aristocratic head honcho Luca di Montezemolo to incentivize direct communication among the company's 3,000 employees. Ferrari's head office is located in Maranello, Italy.
Even with time wastage and worker inefficiencies, Ferrari recorded its third successive growth year in 2013! How much better can the results gets now that those pesky emails are out of their way?
