The Cleveland Ace Deluxe and the Misfit are scheduled for launch in October in India. According to Cleveland CycleWerks, the company has already received homologation certification for both motorcycles. Bookings will open from early October, while deliveries will start from November. The company is also working with online retail platforms to ease the bookings process and widen its product reach in India.

The company has set up ten dealerships across India, which will soon be operational and open to taking orders. Moreover, Cleveland CycleWerks plans to have a total of 30 dealerships in India by the end of this fiscal. The company has partnered with Laish-Madison Motor Werks (a Hyderabad-based company) for the production and distribution of its motorcycles in India.

Cleveland CycleWerks India has set up its assembly plant in Pune, with an annual capacity of 35,000-40,000 units. All Cleveland motorcycles will be locally assembled in India with CKD kits coming from China. That said, Cleveland CycleWerks India has started locally sourcing components like headlamps, tyres and wiring harness.

The company will start work on the second assembly line once it reaches the 30 per cent production target in India and aims to sell around 5,000 motorcycles in the country by the end of 2019. The company unveiled the Cleveland Misfit, Ace Scrambler, Ace Café and the Cleveland Ace Deluxe at the 2018 Auto Expo in February.

The bikes source power from a 229 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that is capable of generating a maximum power of 15.4 bhp at 7,000 rpm while developing 16 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. A five-speed gearbox works in tandem with the powertrain via a final chain drive.

The Cleveland Misfit features a café racer design language with a long tear-drop tank, raised handlebar, round headlight and single-seat. On the other hand, the Cleveland Ace Deluxe is a neo-classic scrambler that features a circular fuel tank, long single-piece seat, round headlamp and a wide handlebar.
