Cleveland CycleWerks has unveiled two models of its classic design bikes in India- The Cleveland Misfit and the Cleveland Ace range at the Auto Expo 2018. Here are the bikes’ live images from the show.
Under the ‘Ace’ model of bikes, there are three sub-models - Ace Deluxe, Ace Scrambler, Ace Café all under the 250 cc segment. The Misfit is in fact the second generation of original Misfit which was popular in the foreign market. Expect the company to announce the prices of the bikes soon. The brand is entering the India by joining hands with Laish Madison Motor Werks Private Limited (LMMW). Headquartered in Mumbai, the brand has a fully integrated assembly facility in Pune which ensures delivery and service to the customers in the country. The Cleveland Ace range of motorcycles comes with a 229 cc single cylinder engine with air cooling. It develops a maximum power of 15.4 HP and peak torque of 16 Nm.
The Ace is positioned towards the young crowd who want retro-style biking experience with modern technology. The comfortable ergonomics makes it versatile enough for both highway rides and city commutes. The Ace Deluxe and Ace Café variants feature aluminium wheels, upside down front forks and twin hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Scott Colosimo, Founder, Cleveland CycleWerks said:

The classic American biking experience come with the most reliable service network. With presence in top 12-14 states across metros and tier 1 cities we aim to sell 5000 bikes in the initial phase. Subsequently, we can significantly increase the numbers as our Pune facility has production capacity of 35,000 bikes per annum. The Gen II Cleveland Misfit maintains the charm of the original Misfit model while giving it new style statement. It also comes with same engine as the Ace range. The Gen II Misfit gets a 320 mm single disc brake up front and 220 mm disc at the rear; as well gold-finish inverted forks adjustable for compression and rebound at the front. The rear employs twin shock absorbers. The company is currently identifying the right dealers; and by end of this year, the brand aims to grow by adding 35 key partners across the country.
