TRK 502 expected to hit the market first.
IB Times reports that DSK-Benelli will introduce the Benelli TRK 502 and Benelli Leoncino in early 2017, of which the former is expected to arrive first. Both bikes made their world debut at the EICMA 2015 in Milan.
The TRK 502 is a dual-sport bike powered by a 500 cc inline twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. It is capable of producing 48 PS of maximum power and 45 Nm of peak torque. The feature list includes LED headlamps, tall windscreen, 20L fuel tank, a long travel inverted telescopic fork, an adjustable monoshock and a pannier set under optional accessories. The model is based on a steel trellis frame.
Followed by the TRK 502 is the Benelli Leoncino, Benelli's take on the scrambler bodystyle. Rivaling the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2, the Leoncino is powered by the same 500 cc inline twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox, which also produces 48 PS of maximum power and 45 Nm of peak torque. The front suspension has USD forks with 50 mm travel, while the rear gets a laterally mounted monoshock.
With the TRK 502 and Leoncino, Benellli's portfolio increases to eight products in India. Other bikes expected to launch in 2017 include the Benelli Trek 1130 Amazonas and Benelli Tornado 300R.
