The Benelli TNT 300 ABS will be launched this month, according to a report from CarandBike.
DSK-Benelli’s first ABS offering was the TNT 600i, followed by the 302R, which was launched in July, this year. The TNT 300 ABS would be the company’s third ABS-equipped motorcycle in the country. Benelli had showcased this motorcycle at the 2017 NADA Auto Show in Nepal.
According to the report, the bookings for the motorcycle has begun, and deliveries will commence in a few days. While there’s no word on the pricing of the motorcycle, expect the ABS version to command a premium of INR 20,000 over the standard model. The standard version costs INR 3.03 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Benelli TNT 300 employs a 300cc in-line two-cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant produces 38.2 PS of power at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle features a 16-litre fuel tank and tips the scales at 196 kg, kerb. Inverted front forks and a rear off-set monoshock hold the trellis frame. Twin petal discs at the front and a single disc at the rear handle the braking responsibility. The ABS variant is likely to have a dual-channel system. The 17-inch alloys are shod with 120-section rubber at the front and 160-section at the rear.
Benelli plans to launch three new motorcycles this financial year, and one of them will be a KTM 390 Duke rival. The ABS version when launched will also rival the KTM 390 Duke in the segment, albeit being more expensive.
