We’ve stumbled upon some neat mod-jobs and restorations in the past – some of which impressed us thoroughly. This time, we’ve come across another modification, and it’s applause-worthy. In these images shared by MotoSaigon, is a Bajaj Pulsar NS200 that has received a complete overhaul to look like Kawasaki’s litre-class roadster, the Z1000.

The changes are not limited to visuals as the motorcycle also gets a displacement bump, and now features a 350cc engine.

In terms of looks, the motorcycle drops its single-pod headlight for a twin LED unit. A custom windshield accompanies the new headlight. Behind the windscreen is a full digital display instead of an analogue-cum-digital console of the NS200. The instrument console has been sourced from the Honda MSX125.

A flat, single-piece handlebar that features a carbon-fibre texture has replaced the stock, clip-on style unit. The carbon-fibre theme is carried on to the handlebar grips too, giving the motorcycle a unique look from the rider’s seat.

The fuel tank gets more muscle in form of added extensions. That, along with the new radiator shroud and the redesigned underbelly cowl gives the motorcycle a beefy look. At the same time, the rear panel gets a sleek design and an aftermarket, triangular LED tail light that replicates the design on the original Kawasaki Z1000.

The split seat design, too, gets a makeover to mimic the shape of the Z1000.

The list of upgrades to the hardware include adjustable CRG aftermarket brake and clutch levers, Z1000 inspired front brake fluid reservoir, and GP1R Austin Racing aftermarket exhaust (claimed to be genuine).

The motorcycle gets a fatter rear tyre that is now a 180 section unit as against the relatively skinnier 130 section unit on the stock motorcycle.

The upgrades, as aforementioned, are not limited to cosmetics, and this custom Pulsar gets a re-bored engine that bumps up the displacement to 350cc. The performance numbers from the new engine, however, are not available. For reference, the stock motorcycle rolls out from the factory with a 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-Valve, Triple Spark engine that delivers 23.5 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.
