Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have revised the price of its premium motorcycle CB300R. The 286 cc CB family product, which was launched at INR 2.41 lakh*, now retails at INR 2.49 lakh* - INR 8,000 more than before.

Last month, the CB300R overtook the CBR250R in terms of sales. Honda sold 80 units of the CB300R, as against 51 units of the CBR250R. The CBR250R is available at INR 1.95 lakh*, but it's an outdated product. The CB300R is sold-out for 2019 but it is available for backorder. To address the unanticipated demand, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India had revised the production plan.

Like the other models from the Honda CB family, the Honda CB300R uses the Japanese brand’s Neo Sports Cafe design philosophy. Thus, the styling is identical to the CB1000R and CB650R. The Neo Sports Cafe design is complemented by modern hardware that includes inverted front forks, full-LED lighting and a digital instrument console among others. The motorcycle is available in two colour options – Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Gray Metallic.

The Honda CB300R is powered by a 286 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine with a fuel injection system that produces 30.45 PS at 8,000 rpm and 27.5 Nm of max torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission. The power figure is the lowest compared to the rivals. The BMW G 310 R and the CFMoto 300NK produce 34 PS and 33.9 PS respectively.

Braking department comprises a disc brake at both ends (296 mm front and 220 mm rear), while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS. Shock absorption duties, as mentioned above, include upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the back.

Honda CB300R buyers get the premium experience of purchasing the motorcycle via Honda BigWing showrooms across the country. Imported via the CKD route, the Japanese motorcycle is marginally expensive than its rival CFMoto 300NK. Yet, the CB300R undercuts the BMW G 310 R by INR 50,000.
