The first RC125 that was delivered by KTM Thane was an orange coloured variant of the motorcycle. A white colour option is available. The ex-showroom price of the new fully-faired motorcycle is INR 1.47 lakh*.
The RC125 competes with one of Yamaha Motor India’s best-sellers - the YZF-R15 V3.0, which retails at INR 1,39,680* (Darknight colour option - INR 1,41,680*).
Apart from pricing and performance, the Yamaha motorcycle has an edge in terms of technology also, as it comes equipped with a Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, assist/slipper clutch and a dual-channel ABS.
The KTM RC125, on the other hand, has a muscular look with beefy upside-down telescopic front forks from WP and the aluminium swingarm. Shock absorption tasks at the back are performed by a 10-step adjustable monoshock. The underbelly exhaust gives the motorcycle a clean and minimalistic look from the sides. Like the 125 Duke/200Duke, the RC125 is built around a trellis frame.
The KTM RC125 shares its engine with the KTM 125 Duke. The 124.7 cc liquid-cooled, 4-Valve, DOHC, single-cylinder motor with fuel injection comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and delivers 14.5 PS of max power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of max torque at 8,000 rpm. The motorcycle uses disc brakes to come to a halt, and its safety net, as mentioned above, is a single-channel ABS.
Unlike the 125 Duke, the RC125 is designed for the track, and thus it features a fully fairing design and sportier ergonomics. A triple clamp handlebar offers a forward-leaning riding stance that is designed to hit the apexes more efficiently than the 125 Duke.

While the KTM RC125 shares its underpinnings with the KTM 125 Duke, the fully faired product from the Austrian brand benefits from twin-pod projector style headlight. The 125 Duke, for reference, uses a conventional halogen light.
