Honda will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its iconic CB750 Four by unveiling a one-off CB1000R at the Roma Motodays show in Italy. Visitors to the motoring event would witness this unique motorcycle, christened CB1000R Tribute. One lucky visitor will ride away with the CB1000R Tribute at the end of Roma Motodays. The show is scheduled to take place between March 7 and 10.

The cosmetic upgrade the Honda CB1000R Tribute, over the standard model includes a body coloured headlight mask and a unique paint scheme and graphics on the fuel tank. As seen on the standard motorcycle, the tank shrouds that also protect the radiator feature a silver finish and so does the heat shield. However, the heat shield gets a unique graphic that is limited for the Tribute model.

The fuel tank design and the saddle setup remains identical to the stock motorcycle. The rear, on the other hand, gets a mild revision and the tyre hugger mounted number plate has been repositioned under the tail light.

The retro-theme is continued with the use of wire-spoke wheels instead of alloys on the standard CB1000R. The stock motorcycle comes with tubeless tyres but the CB1000R Tribute is seen with a set of wire-spoke wheels, and thus we expect them to be shod in tube rubber. That said, the CB1000R Tribute retains the single-sided swingarm that makes it look like a proper exotic.

The photograph also reveals that the exhaust outlet has been redesigned and the CB1000R Tribute uses an old-school design.

Honda Italia has done a remarkable job to celebrate the anniversary of a retro icon. Speaking about the motorcycle, Silvio Manicardi, one of the creators of Roma Motodays said:

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of this bike that represented a revolution in the market, we decided to dedicate our thematic exhibition to the Honda 750 Four... The designers went to work to create a special factory, the Honda CB1000R Tribute, which at the end of the fair could be brought home by a lucky visitor.

Everything else remains standard, and the CB1000R Tribute uses upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from dual disc brakes at the front while at the back is a single disc. Propelling tasks are performed by 998cc in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling that delivers 145.4 PS of power at 10,500 rpm, and 104 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. The engine sends power to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission with assist & slipper clutch.
